  • Our families love us

“Explorer Studio is more than a school – it is a treasured part of our family. As an educator of young children from a family of early childhood educators, I was sure that I would never find a school that could meet my expectations for my daughter and son. I want developmentally appropriate experiences for my children every moment of every day in a caring environment where they are excited to go and sad to leave. I want them to know their teachers well and be known well by their teachers. I want them to learn to emerge from their daily interests with structure and flexibility. I want them to explore art in different mediums in rich detail. I want them to see the world and their surroundings with wonder and intrigue. I want them to speak and understand French. I found all of this, and more, at Explorer Studio. This is a wonderful learning environment where Meryem (from Morocco), Mouma (from Guinea), and Sondes (from Tunisia) have opened themselves and the world up to my little ones through diversity of language and experience, genuine expertise, excellent communication, (truly) beautiful art, and deep love of children. If you can send your child(ren) to Explorer Studio, you should - you will not be disappointed”

  • “Our son and daughter, two and four years of age respectively, had an incredible year at Explorer Studio in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The teachers were unbelievably warm, patient, loving and made my children’s schooling experience positive. The curriculum and agenda were creative and I was beyond impressed with the thought, time and energy the school’s director and teachers put into the classroom and their teaching. The teachers put immense care in customizing the school experience for the children. On a weekly basis, the teachers organized various school trips that included The New York Transit Museum, NYC Fire Museum, Libraries, Governor’s Island, Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Bridge Park, The Museum of Natural History and more. My children indeed explored a lot being at Explorer Studio by all means. My daughter’s favorite field trip was the day the children went on an immersive field trip to learn about countries that included Morocco, Tunisia, and Guinea- a day that ended with expanded knowledge about the languages, foods, flags, and history of these countries. Other days are filled with painting, play, arts, music, dance, numbers, letters, there were unique activities that included supervised cooking classes that exposed the children to various parent-approved foods. Additionally, I love the fact that school has indoor & outdoor space for children. My kids had an amazing year truly filled with laughter, smiles, hugs, fun, and so much love. We (and our children) will always have a special place in our hearts for Explorer Studio, its director, Meryem, and all the other teachers who were affectionate and well learned. We truly hope to be part of the school’s future for a long time to come”.
